Why Brown Sugar

Flavoured syrups made with white sugar and various kinds of synthetic sweeteners used in most traditional bubble tea beverages yield very little to no nutritional values, let alone some can be toxic from prolonged consumption. The molasses in brown sugar; however, contains rich minerals (i.e. calcium, phosphorus, iron, and potassium) and nutrients (i.e. proteins, Vitamin B1 & B2) and has been used in many sweetened beverages and desserts for hundreds of years in Asia.

Jenjudan’s artisanal brown sugar syrup with its unique smoky and caramelized flavour is used in most of our beverages. Other natural sweeteners such as nectar are used in selected drinks to better complement the ingredients. The sweetness level of most Jenjudan beverages can be customized to suit your taste and preferences; however, we recommend new customers to try our drinks in their original sweetness before any customizations.
